When Michael and Barbara Neumann arrived in Grenada without a mast on their catamaran, they thought that they would not be able to complete their three-year circumnavigation. That may not be the case, though, if their fellow ralliers have anything to say about it.

The Neumanns started their first World ARC in 2008 from St. Lucia. They wound up staying in Australia and the South Pacific exploring on and off for two years and picked up this rally there. But their dismasting and subsequent haulout pending here in Grenada has stopped them short. Enter the group that helped them make it this far. You don’t think they would stop now?

The Neumanns will be staying on Ocean Jasper, a fellow rallier, when Basia is hauled and they will sail with them on to the final celebration where they began in St. Lucia. Their daughter, Anna, will sail aboard Crazy Horse and her sister will fly in for the festivities. Below the couple explains their emotion.
